"Organic" pest control?
We're considering hiring a company to do pest control for us (probably quarterly), but I don't like the idea of someone spraying a bunch of synthetic chemicals in our house. Has anyone tried one of these companies that does organic pest control? I'm curious about whether it actually works and whether it actually uses natural stuff for pest control (or if they're just trying to market themselves as being "green" when they're not).
Re: "Organic" pest control?
This is exactly the reason we quit pest control all together. While I know there are companies that do it, we found it just as easy and a whole lot cheaper to use this ourselves: http://www.ghorganics.com/DiatomaceousEarth.html
You can purchase it at any pool supply store. We haven't had any problems with bugs in the house.
We tried this a couple of weekends ago....and it seems to be working....but I did read up on it....and you do have to be careful which kind you get. You have to make sure and get the food grade kind...at least if you have pets. I made the mistake of picking some up at Home Depot..and then read that it was mixed with some other insect repellent. I may head to Natural Gardener to purchase our next bag. Also how often are ya'll putting it around?
