pregnancy and lingerie?

Hi Ladies,

I have never written on this board before.

I am almost 6 months prego and while not feeling too terrible in my cute clothes I don't really feel attractive in the bedroom. Was shopping today and thought maybe some new lingerie might make me feel a little better. Then I thought about how rediculous I might look in lingerie right now.

Has anyone else bought lingerie while they were prego?

My dh is super sweet and supportive. Just want him to be happy.

Re: pregnancy and lingerie?

  • I'd suggest giving the split babydoll styles a go.

    Just an idea.

  • well i have never been pregnant but my sister has been pregnant. for the last 4 years with her three kids. she asked me the same question and so we went shopping. she said it was wonderful. like you said your DH is supportive he will think you look good in anything. pp is right try a spit baby-doll!! it will show off your belly but also still give you the lingerie look.
  • I've never been pregnant but I certainly do not think there's anything wrong with wearing lingerie if you want to! I think guys love women in lingerie, regardless of whether they are overweight, pregnant, etc.  I'm sure your hubby would love it and if it makes you feel good, that's all that matters. I say go for it.

  • I wore lingerie while preggo.  If your husband still finds you sexy it can be a real confidence booster.
  • There is actually a lot of cute maternity lingerie available online. I cannot vouch for any of it since I only looked, never bought. I did wear lingerie while pregnant. My belly tends to be the part of myself I like to cover most, even when not pregnant. Flowy, babydoll styles fit fine. I also wore a more fitted one once made of black lace with some give. Go for it! Try on lots, you may be suprised at how sexy pregnant can be!
