Farm boxes
Anyone else get these? We just signed up to start doing it, and I think we'll get our first box on Wednesday.
If you have no clue what I'm talking about...basically, we signed up to get a box of produce from a local farm. We'll be getting it every other week, and it'll be filled with whatever is in season. We can tell them up to five items that we never want to receive...for example, we'll never touch brussels sprouts, so we won't be given those. And we can sub out certain things...like, if we decide that we'd rather have broccoli instead of collard greens.
DH's brother and SIL have been doing this for years and love it. We're hoping that it'll actually motivate us to eat more fresh fruits and veggies!

Re: Farm boxes
Caroline, the place where I went strawberry picking with DH's bro and SIL is actually the farm where they get their boxes from....so it's near your parents. I'm not sure how far away they'll drop the boxes, but BIL and SIL live in Castro Valley.
Do you want me to ask them the name of the farm?
