Fashion Help

Sorry to post and run, I am about to head to the airport to catch my flight back to NYC, and I need J9 help!

Ok, so I totally spaced that I have a benefit to go to tonight at the Waldorf. Eek! Basically I have about 15mins in my apartment before I have to rush out the door. I must have my outfit planned beforehand-- picking clothes/shoes is the longest part of the process for me.

So, like I said, the benefit (called the Lilac Ball) is at the Waldorf. We go every year (Alex is really involved with the charity it is thrown for) and it is pretty dressy. A lot of men are in tuxes, Alex is wearing a dark grey Paul Smith suit (basically one step below a tux), and I have no idea what to wear. I am usuallly one of the youngest females in the room (not counting the high school students it is honoring), so that is a factor too. Honestly, I am a little tired of the LBD and pumps. I am considering wearing this Alice and Olivia dress (on loan from a friend-- she wore it to my wedding)...

dress

Just for reference, the girl in the pic is about 6 inches shorter than I am, so I wear the dress very differently (but I swear, not scandalous at all-- not my style). I am taller and significantly less curvy/muscular. I have the body of a pre-pubescent male.

Questions:

a. Is it too casual? Should I just stick with another boring LBD? I have a Chloe tuxedo jacket (in grey or cream) to dress it up if that matters. Plus I could wear a lot of jewelry...

b. Would my wedding shoes work (in terms of color) with it or should I just wear black or grey pumps? I have not worn my wedding shoes since the wedding, and I think I am pretty set on wearing them (partial pic in siggie-- they are the Louboutin petal sandals in blush).

c. Should I just make it easy on myself and wear a LBD with my wedding shoes?

d. Other. Suggestions welcome.

At this point, I am probably going to wear what gets the most votes. I have zero time to second guess. Make me proud gals! And thanks in advance for helping!!!
