Monday Morning

Re: Monday Morning

  • My weekend was very relaxing, which was perfect. Saturday I got up early to try to make our  house look decent before my friend got here. I half succeeded. When she got here we spent the day catching up and went to Pizza Fusion for the first time. Delicious! On Sunday I did some work I had brought home, read my book, and took a nap. I haven't taken a nap in awhile and once I finally let myself sleep it was great. This is the last week of our school year, so it is the current finish line. Sad and happy all at once.
  • My weekend was exhausting. Friday I had to take the kids to target, than get home to pack and get ready while we waited for my folks to come get us, than we all headed to San Clemented to camp for the weekend. I can't count how many walks we took or how many times we had to get Joaquin down from where ever he had climbed. It was fun but definitely not relaxing. It was so hard to get up this morning and than I was late plus J was crying/screaming so I didn't have a chance to get food or coffee. I am counting the minutes till break.65 in case anyone is interested.
  • Diana- I <3 Pizza Fusion- try their whole grain crust and soy cheese--- sounds weird but YUM!  Sorry it is your last week of school :( Something will be on your horizon that will be even better for you!

Kat- How did you like the San Clemente beach? Was it a nice place to camp- H and I are considering starying there in the near future for a family reunion and thought it might be a little more financially affordable than a hotel, lol.  Sorry no food or coffee- how much longer until your break?!

This weekend I made a piano cake for my cousin's graduation, then cleaned house a little- but luckily H had mercy on me and did a lot of the cleaning in one of his nights of insomnia (poor guy, but lucky me for clean house!). H and I went to Wilson Creek Winery on Thursday- we are officially wine club members! So we can go wine tasting any time for FREE with up to 4 people *cough* GTG Diana and Kat *cough* :)  Saturday I worked at the Flea Market w/ my Chiro office, and Sunday I recovered, went to breakfast w/H, cleaned a little, worked a little, then went out for Ice Cream :)

Lena-It is really nice, but it does book up fast. My parents made their reservations a couple months ago and even then there were only a couple spots left. I believe there are a few campgrounds further away from the beach that aren't as crowded.

Oh I am so there. Wilson is one of favs!! Almond champagne=yummy!!

  • Saturday was my shower which was fun. Later that day was a friends son's 8th birthday party. The rest of the weekend I got lots of rest. Picked up the hubby from the airport yesterday. So glad he is home!

  • Good morning,

Saturday I went to a volunteer meeting for the All Star Game at Angel Stadium.  They talked about the different positions available and then did a little interview.  They have 2000 volunteer spots open and about 5000 that registered...so I'll know in 3 weeks if I got a spot.  Then we hung out at home for the evening.

Yesterday we got in the pool for a little bit and made a trip to Target and just hung out.  At about 6:30 my sister called me saying she was headed to the ER with my nephew.  So I went and hung out in the ER until about 10 when they got his tests back.  They thought he had appendicitis, but after a CT scan they found out his lymphnodes in his belly were inflammed probably from a virus that was causing him pain.

Tonight I have to return some stuff to Target and that is all I'm doing.

  • Morning! We had a pretty good weekend, very relaxing! We went to a baseball game, did a bunch of cleaning, read and relaxed a lot, and played softball. Now back to the grind! Hope everyone has a speedy Monday!

  • We had a great but fairly busy weekend.  Can't even remember what we did Friday night.  I think we just hung out around the house.  Saturday mom, Sarah and I went shopping while C took the dogs to a Corgi playdate.  Found some great deals at Bath and Body Works!  That afternoon C, Sarah and I went to her little friend's birthday party at the Little Gym.  She and the birthday girl bumped heads in a mid-air collision while on the bouncer.  Poor Sarah has a big bruise smack dab between her eyes!  That night, C was working on the sprinklers and Sarah decided it would be fun to run through them!  Absolutely hysterical to watch - I even caught it on the Flip - I'll have to post on her blog!  Yesterday was Disney in the morning and then I got a facial in the afternoon.  Last night we just played with Sarah before heading to bed.

Hope everyone has a great day!

  • Robyn - did you get lots of fun stuff at your shower? ;)

Brandi - How cool! Hope you get the call back!! What type of openings did they have?

This weekend was a bit rough. I had to go to bed early on Friday since I had to get up at 3:30 am on Saturday to take part in a disaster recovery exercise. The whole thing was poorly managed and such a waste of time. I finished by 7 but I couldnt fall back asleep which was annoying since we had a wedding to go to that night. Fortunately with the help of some caffeine I made it through the day. The wedding was more fun than we expected so that was nice.

On the way home, we picked up my mom and she spent the night at our house since she had an early morning flight out of SNA. I took her to the airport at 6:30, then swung by SIL's house to pick up the pup since they doggy sat for us the day before. After we got home, I went back to bed and slept till 1 pm.

The only productive thing I did yesterday was clean out the old car and take pictures of it so we could list it for sale. After that H picked up Dominos for dinner and we watched the basketball game.

    Happy Monday everyone!

  • omg Brandi, how scary!

Yes Robyn, how was your shower? Because I was stalking your registry & saw quite a few things missing. ;) Which is nice. The only items missing from my registry were things WE bought. :p

This weekend was fun & flew by, of course. We took C to chuck E cheese for the first time. It was a hit of course. Saturday we went to an indoor play place. They were having a grand opening for their cafe. The family is really nice, so it was fun supporting their accomplishments. Sunday C & I ran a ton of errands. Went to the farmers market, Target & then the supermarket. Oh, we finally watched The Blind Side. I laughed, I cried, I cried some more. :)

They had 2 volunteer opportunities, one was working the FanFest at the Convention Center.  Handling some of the games, taking tickets, information booths, etc.  The other was being greeters at hotels or helping with transportation from airports, making sure the people are getting on the correct buses, for the out of town guests.  Helping at the All Star party, brunch and Gala.  Some clerical work, and helping out at the All Star 5k.

I am not even sure how it happend it just would not turn on so I have been without a computer all weekend and am going NUTS!!!. I dont even know what to do. So that is my weekend and day today. Hope you girls have a goodo one.
