divvying up season tickets
DH and I bought some basketball tickets this year, and the guy who sold them to us offered to sell most of his season tickets for next year. We can't afford all of them, but found a few people to split most of the games with. Does anyone have any formulas for splitting up season tickets among 4 or 5 people with varying amount of tickets (ie, some will buy more than others)? We're trying to be fair but there are so many factors...
Thx!
Re: divvying up season tickets
Is the issue over who gets first choice of games? You could do a draft/lottery style system. Round one, everyone picks a # from a hat. #1 picks first game, #2 second, and so on. Round two, you can keep picking with the same numbers or you can pick a new set of #s from the hat.
We have a friend that has season tix. He controls who he sells to, on a first come, first serve basis. He emails out the available games to the group. You email back how many games you want/ first choice/second choice based on availability. He fills the orders as they come in. You snooze, you lose. But, he is on the hook for all the tickets, so he pays for any games that don't sell. (He also reserves the choicest games for himself up front.)
So there are two options.
Said perfectly!
