Just saw a candidate for the Worst Mother of the Year award

In the parking lot of the HEB at 1431 and 183.  Drives an older model white Suburban type SUV.

So I had just checked out at HEB and am rolling the cart to the exit door where two little boys -- I'd say 7 and 3 -- were blocking the door.  I say, "Excuse me, please" but they are too wrapped up in arguing over a toy of some kind to hear me, so I go around.

As I'm unloading my groceries into the trunk of my car, I hear a woman from the next aisle over and down one scream, "Hold his hand!!"  I look over in the direction she's facing, and there're those two kids, STANDING IN THE MIDDLE OF TRAFFIC, trying to get to her.  There's no way I could've gotten to them if something had happened, and I was a lot closer to them than she was.  I just couldn't believe it!  And she didn't even stop loading up the groceries to go and get them out of the traffic.  Her small children are attempting to cross traffic that's going two ways, and all she's concerned about is loading up the groceries.  Why were they alone in the store in the first place?

So she's up for Worst Mother of the Year in my book.  Idiot.
