Our tech team has launched updates to The Nest today. As a result of these updates, members of the Nest Community will need to change their password in order to continue participating in the community. TD Jesus...gone.
We had some crazy weather come through last night (had to go to the basement!). Supposedly we had tornadoes, but who knows.
Along one of our highways there is a large church with a pools of water and a "The largest statue of Jesus in the US." His arms are outreaching to the sky, therefore is nick named "Touchdown Jesus"
Well, there was a TON of lightning last night and TD Jesus was struck by lightning and caught fire. It was made of styrofoam and wood with a metal frame- it burned down with in minutes!!! It's huge news here...and the picture of the metal empty frame look creepy!

This statue cost the church $500,000 to build! They plan to rebuild, but honestly the money should and could go towards better things.

you would thing a 500,000 statue would be made of metal materials instead of strofoam. I agree the money can be used to better things.
what a site that must be. I hope they come to their senses and spend $500K on something that actually does something good for someone...
