AW: My baby!!
We had our second ultrasound yesterday (as I'm sure you can see from my facebook!). The baby was waiving at us right away and was literally bouncing off my uterus. It was the cutest thing I think I've ever seen! My first thought was "This is definitely Andrew's child. She can't even sit still!" We didn't get a good profile picture since she wouldn't sit still. She is also measuring ahead of schedule. I should have been 11w1d yesterday and was measuring at 11w5d with a due date of 12/29, so fingers crossed we get our little tax deduction!! The prenatal clerk made a mistake when she was scheduling our big u/s, so we don't get to find out the sex until August 16th now instead of at the end of July. Boo.
The bad news we got though is that I'm a carrier for cystic fibrosis. I was extremely upset when I heard this news (not to mention the NP was not very tactful about telling me this). I told her I had a client die of CF at the age of 6 last year of CF and this is not the news I wanted or ever expected to hear. DH is going to go in for blood work and see if he has the gene, so send me T&P's that he is negative. I'm trying hard not to think about it, but hearing I am a carrier is the last thing I ever expected to hear and I can't help but worry.

Don't worry about the CF just enjoy for now and I'll have you guys in my T & P that everything comes out negative! Just keep your head up!
I'm convinced she is a she. I told DH I will be SHOCKED if she is a he.

This! I was like...wait, she knows the baby is a girl!?! haha. I am so happy that you got to see the baby bouncing around!! I agree with pp, focus on the positives...lots of thoughts and prayers.
