And I'm back to asking advice already!
Before I get serious with the job hunt- I need opinions and help on how to handle my name change! Obviously since my new last name is my legal name now, I want to put that on my resume. The problem is- when they contact previous employers my new name isn't on file there.
Do I just let it go and if they say they're going to contact previous employers - tell them then?
OR, I've heard a few people suggest to put it on the resume like FirstName (Maiden Name) Last Name or
FirstName LastName
previously FirstName MaidenName
???
Any other suggestions? Is anyone else dealing with this situation?
Re: Resume Help...
I would use my first name, maiden name in parentheses, and my new last name. Not sure if this is the proper way, but it seems the most logical.
I honestly just put my new last name... although I completely forgot that none of my old employers would know who Tiffany Kane is... I'm sure that putting your new last name by itself is sufficient enough, although if you're really worried about it, I would put it as such
Tiffany Kane (maiden: B***) or something of the sort.
