A thank-you poll

Since we're slow, I'll write my first poll![Poll]

Re: A thank-you poll

  • I finished them within two weeks of the wedding. We took a road trip to Napa for a mini-moon, so I had a good 8 hours to write while bored in the car!
  • All but 2 thankyou's went out a long time ago. In my defense, one of these was a wedding no-show, who sent a gift to us in early 2010.

The other is K's grandma, and we decided to make her an album of the wedding with a personal thankyou message inside versus just sending a card. But we need to get going on this. We planned to print this a while ago at the same time as our album, but that hasn't happened yet either.

  • I am completely anal about writing thank you notes of any kind. Ours went out the Wednesday after our wedding. Then I sent out a second round of photo thank you cards about a month later because I didn't want people waiting a whole month to receive thank you cards from us.

    I am nuts!

  • I actually wrote most of ours on the plane on the way home from the honeymoon (10 hrs on a plane is highly boring). I did however not send one to a girl from college. She sent out gift to us a few months after the wedding and I just never felt like digging out the stationary again. It's a totally lame excuse and I feel awful about it, yet I still haven't done anything about it....
  • I sent almost all of mine as soon as we were back from the honeymoon. The exceptions? I've got five that are addressed (with names), stamped, and ready to go...except I don't have these five current addresses (they were all in the process of moving around our wedding).

I did mine the day after we got back from the honeymoon. It was a Friday and I spent the day writing thank you notes and putting gifts away. we didn't have that many guests...it was a small wedding so it didn't take too long. :)

  • They were done within a month of the wedding, since we were on the honeymoon for 2 weeks.  I also personalized them all. We worked on them while on the plane and airport.  I write thank you notes all the time, so they weren't that big of a deal.
