I think I must be crazy...

My husband just emailed me about getting an Xbox 360 b/c his buddy just told him the price dropped $50.  He has been hemming and hawing over this Xbox 360 for months and his buddies have been trying to talk me into letting him have one since we got married.  I think its a little on the ridiculous side as we have the Wii, Xbox, (and let's not forget his childhood Nintendo, Atari, etc. that he can't bear to part with).  I think the need for another game system is a bit crazy.

But being the crazy woman I am, I just emailed him back and told him to buy it already.  It's not as though we don't have the money and the man rarely buys himself anything, and I've told him multiple times to buy it, if he really wanted it.  And at least he asked me before he did it.  Sometimes I think he hems and haws just to wear me down.

Then I asked him what I get to buy for the same amount since he gets his 360.  :)

    Smart lady!

Yes, I understand what you mean though.  M has every system known to man.  I believe the last "big" console that came out was the PS3.  At first M was like "I don't want it, nah, I don't want it" etc etc.  I believed him at the time, that is until one night we were in Wal-Mart and when the PS3's first came out, they sold out just as fast as the stores were getting them in, well M found one on a shelf, it was the last one in stock.  He RAN to find me and asked if he could get it, with a big pouty look on his face.  I knew then that the only reason he had said before that he didn't want one was because he didn't think he'd get one until the buzz died down.  Since I knew I'd never hear the end of it, I told him to get it (I don't know if any of you girls remember also, when they first came out, they were ridiculously expensive....yea).

I think the only systems he may not have anymore are the Sega systems (yes all of them) and the Super Nintendo, that is because he let gave it to me because I loved playing Mario Paint long ago and I hawked it when I moved out.  He has the original Nintendo, Game Cube, Atari (the original one), XBOX, XBOX 360, PS 1, 2 and 3.  PSP, PSP Go, Nintendo DS, Gameboy, Gameboy Advance, and I'm sure there's others I'm forgetting but you get the point.

So Breanne, I feel your pain.

And did you pick something yet? ;) (again, this is Lorelai... )

  • He wrote me back and said "A happy husband?"

I replied, " No, I want to know what I get to BUY. For me.  And I didn't know you were for sale.  Or that you were so cheap!"  Big Smile

    LOL - good for you!

  • I love your response! Hopefully your DH comes home with something nice for you tonight and some suggestions. We have every system known to man too, so I feel you.

  • A classic exchange!

Buy something amazing that will protect and entertain the baby for 20 minutes so you can take a shower or do a load of laundry or take a quick nap.  It will pay dividends!

As opposed to an electronic girlfriend, which is what I thought about the 360.  (Although now that we have the baby and the house...he doesn't play much.)
