During drop-off today I had a parent ask me if I went to the local high school. I told her no, I grew up in Minnesota. She then asked what grade I was in and I told her I had graduated from college 6 years ago. She looked shocked and said "I thought you were 17, max!" And then I walked around feeling fluffy the rest of the day.

It's thinks like that that really make you feel good about yourself.
Re: I Look Young :)
I love that she thought you were a high schooler!
Sweet! Way to look good!
I didn't know you grew up in Mn! Where at?
Yup! I loved in MN until I was 18 and left for college in NY. From 3 months- 8 years I lived in Luverne which is near the South Dakota and Iowa borders nestles in the southwest corner of the state. From 8-16 years old I lived in Silver Bay which is an hour north of Duluth on Lake Superior. And then 16-18 I bounced around in the cities (Golden Valley, Columbia Heights, St. Paul, and Minneapolis to be specific).
I am VERY much a Minnesota girl! I know the Gopher's fight song, I'm a Vikings Fan, I used to worship Kirby Puckett... you know. Typical MN stuff.
Well after she said the whole "I thought you were 17 max" line to me she then said (in a somewhat condescending way) "Well then what are you doing HERE?"
Yes, yes. I realize I have an 17 year old's job, thank you.
One corner of Mn to the other! I am over by the SD border near Madison, Mn, very rural out here. I grew up in central Mn near St Cloud. I cheer for the Vikings and loved Kirby Puckett too. Ao you probably have been ice fishing and start wearing shorts when it hits 60!!
We had a shack out on Island Lake near Grand Rapids!
Every year we'd sit in there... I learned to play poker and pee standing up in that shack. Haha! And yes, 60 IS summer weather- shorts are going on. Gotta love Minnesota!
Nah, I'm normal. You're just old.
BRAT!
