Good morning!
Another day, same migraine.

Good morning. I'm apparently having a CRS day, or past few days rather. I forgot to remind DH to stop at the store after he picked me up so I could get a Father's Day card, and I forgot to call in a refill on a prescription that has to be special ordered. Blehh. I'm sure there's more...
I hope you can get these migraines under control soon, Trish.
Morning! I had a great run this morning so I'm pumped for the day now.
Sadlebred - I have no idea how you are functioning with a migraine! I have to go into the darkest room in my house, put on ear plugs, and an ice pack on my foreheard. What meds are you taking for it? My doc has me on Axert and Midrin. I love the midrin but it makes me super sleepy so I have to make sure I'm home when I take it (or school where I can sleep on our couch lol).
Good Morning!
I'm sorry about your migraines, those are NO fun!
I'm on week # three of an unsuccessful job search in Athens. I've got experience in customer service and administrative Assistantship and a degree in English. I hate job searching. Bleh, any suggestions?
Hey ladies!
I am going to hack up a lung today from the smog. UGH.
Call me Kat =^..^=
My H had the same problem. He's been working for a year in Norcross making the commute while still looking in Athens. I'd check with the hotels and hospitals - I know there are a few positions open at one of the hospitals (I forget which) and one was an administrative assistant. I know UGA is pretty much on an outside hiring freeze, they've been doing all of their hiring from the inside so they don't have to train. H had an interview with them last year and they told him they'd had over 250 applicants! eeek! Plus, the schools budget was majorly cut. It's summer and most of Athens population is gone, so a lot of places won't hire until the fall - it's sort of a bummer. I actually work for a non-profit in Silver Spring, MD and telecommute because every place I applied to here told me I was over qualified. GL!
See if you can find any networking groups (different churches have them as well, and you don't have to be a member). It seems like most jobs these days go out through the grapevine way before they are posted on a job board or go to a recuiter. Also, the economy sucks, so be patient.
I'm pretty sleepy today, so I hope the day goes by fast!
good morning!
good morning girls!!

ditto this! H and I became friends with the pastor who married us and her husband (who is the guy in charge of A/V at our church) and as soon as an opening came up in the church H was asked if he wanted it. It's only on Sundays but now that he's in, they keep offering him other things, like doing sound for weddings, etc.
