How did the past week go for everyone? Did you eat healthy? Work out often? How's your mental wellbeing? What were your successes? What areas are you still working on?
Re: Wellness Wednesday
This past week went pretty well for me. We are trying to eat at home more often, which definitely helps with the healthy eating. I've been concentrating on portion size. And have opted for fruit as an evening snack instead of ice cream. I have still been recovering from this bug, so I didn't work out as much as I should have. Hopefully this week, we'll get out on our bikes more.
Since we'll be heading to the beach in less than a month, I really want to try to drop some pounds. Nothing like a bathing suit to give you some motivation. I also want to ride our bikes more so that we can be more comfortable when riding around at the beach.
Maybe this is just what I need to hold myself accountable. I've actuallly started exercising since I got out of school, we have a small fitness center in the neighborhood and I've finally started using it. My goal is at least 5 mornings a week. I've got the same going to the beach in a few weeks motivation.
The eating thing...that's another story. We have too much junk in this house and unfortuo nately if it's within arms reach I tend to snack. I've got to do better with that!
It's going fairly well. I ran Couch-to-5K, Day 1 on Monday and then did an hour of spinning. My running hasn't been going very well and I'm getting frustrated so I decided to start all over.
My eating has been going well too. I've decided to only do desserts on the weekends so hopefully that will help.
This week went by quite well other then the little bumps here and there. I have been still making an effort at making sure we all still eat well, since we are doing so much around the house we need the good energy to help us through. So far we have the berooms ready and dining room ready, slowly still waiting for the rest of the furniture and paint to finish the rest of the house and try to do a little remodel in the bathroom. I hope this atleast keeps us occupied this summer. Hopefully we can finish most of it soon so I can atleast get a routine going with my work-out, I feel that I fell off the wagon during this process. I'm also looking into some sort of dance studio for latin dancing and I am not having any luck finding one.
i really need this to hold me accountable. i am struggling alot in the healthy area. i did horrible this past week and my mental well being it totally paying for it. i haven't had alot of luck lately in the weight loss department. i seem to drop and gain the same 5lbs and this has gone on for two years. no matter how healthy i eat, how intense i work out....i never lose more than a few pounds.
i have a dr apt tomorrow with a new dr. the other one has tested my thyroid three times and it is normal. only other thing i can relate it to is birth control. i changed it two years ago and have gained 10lbs and cant seem to lose any at all.
the bad thing is here lately...i sorta have given up on myself. i feel like "why bother" .....i need to just kick myself in the @ss and try try again. most days...weather i am losing weight or not, there is no excuse for the crap i eat.
hopefully, i can get back on track and even if i don't drop pounds i know that i am at least trying to maintain a healthy diet.
