I'm turning 30 in a couple of months, so we're planning on trying soon. As soon as I get the all clear from my doctor, I'm 6 months post thyroid cancer, successfully treated

-- I go back in a couple of months so we're crossing our fingers for good news. But we totally have baby fever...

I already have two children from a previous marriage, and they are half way out of my house (12 and 10). I'm not too keen on starting over.

I totally want one now, but DH wants to wait 6 months or so before we try. Going off my BCP in october. I'm trying to get a second job so that I can put that money away in savings so I can take a much longer maternity leave, since DH can't carry the bills by himself (of course, neither could I). So if we wait 6 months to start trying, we have at LEAST 15 months to make extra income, which could mean an extra 6 months off for me for maternity....I can hardly wait for that much time off work.

I have one week of BC left and then we will be trying. The IL's are about the same age as my grandparents and we want them to be able to enjoy their grand kid

I have been off BC for the past 2 weeks or so. We are not actively trying but not preventing it. We are going to actively try starting in mid August

We were not doing anything to prevent it but I only got off BC in January so we thought it would take a little longer but we were wrong. But both excited to start a family. Smile

I didn't vote, but my answer is that we're going to begin trying probably within the next year. Adam wanted to start trying right after the wedding and I wanted to wait about a year, but we've both come to the same conclusion that we should just see where we are in a few months and then go from there. Adam seems to think that since I've been on BC for so long, that it's going to take a while to get knocked up. My sister-in-law got pregnant like less than 2 months after she stopped taking her BC, and she and my brother had thought the same thing. I'm going to keep taking it until we're both 100% ready to start trying.

We will probably start trying to conceive around our first anniversary, or a few months after.

I voted not trying but if it happens it happens. We want to wait about 4 years. I'm on the pill but people have been known to still get pregnant. We'll be excited if it does happen, but we'd rather wait a while.

Well thank you since he is 46 and I am 38 we figured if we wanted one together then we better start trying now. We are excited and really hope that it is sooner than later we both are just silly about but so are our kids!!

I put whatever happens happens...I am continuing to take BCP until August, and then stopping...but after last week's events, it is clear that even when taking BCP, getting pregnant is still a small possibility...and we would be thrilled!

I didn't vote because our situation didn't really fit any of the options. I'll probably get my IUD out sometime between the end of summer and the beginning of the new year, and then we'll probably wait for 3-4 normal cycles before we start actively TTC. Healthwise, I could really stand to lose about 40-50# before we get pg, so that will give me some time to do that, too. I'm hoping that just getting off the hormones will help me drop a couple pounds and jump start the motivation.

We're trying now so we'll see what happens. I know that it'll happen when it is meant to but the waiting sucks ... I'm so not patient, lol.

My H is almost 34 and his brother already has 3 kids, so he definitely wants kids soon. Also, all our married friends are pregnant or have kids, so he doesn't want to be too far behind.

I want to wait at least a year.
