Another clicky...house payments

Re: Another clicky...house payments

  • Ours is juuuust under 2500 - but its also on a 20 year mortgage with a 4.375% fixed APR - and that was locked in last week!  Now is the time! I'll tell ya, we are going to build MAD equity with that 20 year loan.. if you are thinking about refinancing, check them out!
  • My rate is at 5.75%...unfortunately I'm almost positive that I cannot refinance it on my own...the current loan is still under mine and my ex's name. boooo!!
  • By house payments you mean actual house payment, not the escrow that has taxes, insurance, etc, right?  We don't escrow, but I know others do and that makes a significant difference in monthly amounts.  Our taxes are $1000/ mo alone, but I don't lump them in with our monthly total since we pay them annually.

Good point, we do escrow all that stuff and that was included in my answer.

Oh, I did this, too. I included the total amount I send to Bank of America (grr) every month - this includes taxes and home insurance. However, it's still a nice low number Smile Low enough, it keeps convincing me I don't need a newer, bigger house! LOL

  • I didn't include [escrow] in the answer I gave but it wouldn't change my answer either way.

    Ditto.

Our interest rate is 7.325% and we can't refinance because we are way upside down. We bought at the wrong time!
