Was that why the goal was voided because they called a foul? ESPN was saying that it was an offside call.
In the post game interview Bradley said they STILL didn't know what the exact call. Landon said the ref wouldn't even tell them.
No one was offside. Did they look at the replay?
That call was complete crap. The Slovenians were playing dirty the whole time, and the ref hardly calls anything. Then he calls a nonexistent foul on the US right as they score a winning goal? Then won't say what the foul was? I think he messed up, bad, and is trying to cover his ass.

I don't know - it's really close. If you go to front page of Yahoo and click on the main story (not the video link, but the story. Then, watch the replays. At the 30 second mark, I don't think he was offside. At the 39 second mark, he looks offside from that angle. However, I'm curious where the foul on the Slovenia player was at about the 36 second mark or so . . . . Missed call.
Initially on the tv I believe they said offsides, but I do not think that was the official call. If you look at the stats the US did not have any offside calls. I thought I heard somewhere that the foul was on Edu, but I can not find it. I have watched the replay multiple times and I do not see it.
I do not see any fouls by any of the American players on that play. They were all getting mugged.
I just wish the ref would admit he made a mistake. I could live with that, everyone makes mistakes, even huge ones like that. However if he insists there was a foul, I question that.
At least we control our own destiny.
