Coming to the area for a few days in July - what part of town should we stay in?

Hi ladies!

DH and I are rounding out a trip to NE with two nights in Boston. I've been before but it's been 9 years....oy. What area of town would you recommend that would be relatively close to fabulous restaurants (nothing touristy more local-y), attractions etc? We will have a car so that's not a big deal - something with nice views, nice part of town, etc.

 Thanks so much!!

  • The Back Bay is a great area to stay in.  Anything near the Commons/Public Gardens is also nice.  As you might remember, Boston's pretty small so almost anything is walkable in those areas and they are the heart of the restaurant/theater/shopping scenes.
I'd rather be rock climbing or playing volleyball

  • I agree, stay in Back Bay. There is a Hilton Back Bay, the Park Plaza, and Copley Marriott.
  • The Back Bay is the best area to stay in, IMO. I've stayed in the Sheraton Back Bay, it's pretty nice and not as pricey as some other hotels.
