DH Update

DH works at the hospital so yesterday he saw his doctor and asked about his results.  The doctor told him they couldnt find anything wrong - said DH's heart is as healthy as a horse.  So we are still clueless.  We did some research and we are thinking it may be a lack of Saratonin.  Anyone know anything about that?  He has an appointment with our family doctor, but wont see her until July.

Thanks for all the prayers and well wishes!!

Re: DH Update

  • Thank God for not finding anything wrong but weird as to no answer as why it happened.
  • great to hear his heart is healthy....i am sure it is frustrating to still not know what is going on. i hope everything goes well with his next visit.
  • I have no advice really.  Maybe more tests?  No news is good news, I guess, but you'd still like to know why it happened.  I hope you get some answers.

  • I'm glad they didn't find anything, but that is puzzling. So there's no one else who can see him sooner??
  • That is so annoying that they don't know what is causing his symptoms.  Although it is great that they didn't find anything major wrong.

I'm not sure of his exact symptoms, but I ended up in the ER with severe chest pain last summer.  They ran a bunch of tests and didn't find anything. I had a follow-up with my primary care and a cardiologist and they figured out that I had pulled my chest wall and it was basically a muscle cramp that was right over my heart.  I don't know if that is one of his symptoms, but wanted to share my diagnosis since it is apparently pretty common but very hard to diagnose.

  • I'm glad that they didn't find anything wrong with his heart. Hopefully, you'll have more concrete answers soon. I know it can be frustrating.
  • Squeesh--I'm so glad your DH seems to be doing fine!  I know you all must be frustrated that you don't know the cause of his symptoms, but hopefully thankfully, it doesn't sound like its something serious, otherwise they probably would have found it.  Good luck in the quest to get him 100%
  • Very glad everything is okay as of now and I'll continue to hope that things stay that way! Good luck with the next appointment!

  • seretonin is your feel good hormone. did they rule out an anxiety attack? last year when i was having lots of anxiety issues it was causing chest pain. it was very scary at the time.

have him look up some info about anxiety and maybe it'll make sense. and let me know if you want some personal feedback.

  • I hope he can figure out what is going on. It is frustrating to not know what the problem is.
