I started feeling crappy around 10:30, I laid my head down on my pillow on my desk for a while and tried to feel better. After an hour I wasn't feeling any better, so my boss took my to CVS to check my BP. It was 137/90, which is really high for me on Wednesday it was 120/65.
I called the birth center and they told me to come in. I did a non stress test and drank lots of water. Got to hear Cletus for a a solid 30 minutes which was great. Everything on the monitor looked great so she took my BP again and it was 100/65. A number a lot more normal to me. She took some blood and sent it to the hospital to lab to get looked at just to make sure there is no pre-eclampsia signs.
We came home and I took a bath to relax, then we fell asleep for an hour and a half which makes me say my body was tired and needed a break. I need to stop trying to plow through things, I don't know that I can do that anymore.
Now the local connection: My midwife today is from New Orleans, her whole family lives down there still. So of course I asked where she went to High School and she graduated from Franklin two years before a really good friend of mine. She said she knows of my friend but they didn't "travel in the same circle". How funny is that? My Grandmother was right, you HAVE to behave yourself!
Re: Update to not Feeling well and a local connection
oooh goodness girl, always trust your instincts and your body! I'm glad you're doing better.
that's funny that she was from NO, you just never know who you're gonna meet where!
