ethics clicky poll

DH found $100 bill in a grocery parking lot. This is what he wrote in an email to me:

Yeah I did find $100, it was right in front of my bike tire, kinda like it was just for me....:)

eta: fwiw dh does plan on calling the store and asking if anyone has called saying they lost $ in the parking lot.  Bad karma is not what we need.

as much as it hurts, he should try to make an effort to return it. maybe some poor old woman dropped it and now she can't afford her weekly prescriptions. You never know...

  • I voted option 4.  I would ask the people around me if anyone had dropped a bill, not saying the denomination.  I would tell the store manager, too, and leave my phone number.  After 24 hours its a gift from baby Jesus.

  • I voted #1. $100 is a lot of money, and since it was a grocery store, someone could really need that money to buy food. If it was $5 or $10 I would say keep it but since its so much he should probably make an effort to check
