Please rec your wedding videographer

A friend of mine is trying to help her cousin.  She asked me and I told her we used big screen productions, and although we had a great experience, I know many knotties did not.

SO... please rec yours.  I don't know of budget or anything, so all price ranges would be great. :)

Thanks girls!!!

Re: Please rec your wedding videographer

  • We had friends who used Indy Productions and their video is amazing! You can see some examples on their blog: www.indyproductions.net/blog. Seeing their video makes me really sad that we didn't use a videographer.
  • Consider skipping it.  I know a video of the wedding my be a fabulous memory to look back on, but this is one expense you may want to skip on.  Firstly, you can make a video set to music if you buy the rights to the photographs.  Secondly, what format would you buy the video it?  It was just a few years ago that betamax was the way to listen to music, then VHS tapes were the way to record and watch a movie... How long are DVDs going to be around?  I guess you could stow the files on the internet, but will they be playable on whatever technology is around in 30 years?

    Just a thought...

  • I bought a camcorder and asked a friend to record the important parts for us. He gave us back the camcorder before we left and it was fun watching the video while sitting in the airport on our HM. It was a hard drive camcorder and guess what - the files are still sitting on it. I haven't even pulled them off to make a DVD. To be honest, I don't know of anyone who has watched their wedding video more than once.
  • W had a friend surprise us and record it with his camcorder. We've watched it once, but I plan to make DH watch it again on our 5th anniversary in August.
