DH made it to Africa
On his way there, I got to see him on Skype for 5 minutes and then late lastnight I got a 60 second phone call.
Hopefully I'll get to talk to him today!

He won't be officially home until next Spring/Summer. But he gets a two-week leave this Fall.
where is he? my dad is in ghana right now. he has been there since the end of may and comes back in july.
that is a long time to be without your DH. i hope the time flies by.
DH is near the Horn of Africa on the NE coast. What is your dad doing in Ghana?

my dad has a nonprofit that does a lot in africa, mainly ghana. he has founded scholarships for people to be able to go to high school and college, helped bring electricity to villages, and tries to help people start their own businesses, among other things. he is there now because the first person to receive a scholarship to h.s. just graduated from college. so he could not miss that.
Glad he's there safe Julie. Keep us posted on how he's doing & when you hear from him.
