Weekend recap and father's day
How was your weekend? Did you do anything special for Father's Day, get the dad in your life something special?
Mine was good, was busy but only because I slept a lot. When I was awake I tried to get a lot done. The kids got John a composter for Father's day, it's a drum and Pixel (the cat) wants to put the dogs in it and turn. We told her "no".

oh yay for composting! I just a few minutes ago went put some stuff in ours.
Ours was nice. Saturday night we went out to eat in Natchitoches with FIL and BIL. MIL didn't come. It was a really nice evening. We also went walk on Front Street (imagine the French Quarter, only very clean and lacking the urine smell) and it was late in the day so the only store open was the kitchen store. I love going in there. We got some dip mixes and chipotle chili flavored olive oil.
Yesterday we just stayed home. We grilled a flat iron steak last night for fajitas and it was delish. And watched The Next Food Network Star.

Ours was pretty good as well. On Sat me & N went to Hometown, LA to see my great grandma. Which was great. What was not great was seeing my gran. She's getting nuttier by the day.
MrShoe had to work on Sunday so we brought him lunch and then worked on his gift from N (a stepping stone with her footprints) all afternoon. Last night we ordered pizza and folded a weeks worth of laundry!
