I am so sad right now. My beautiful Dakota can't come home. She is a lively and loved 5 year old blue heeler looking for a new home. She is crate trained, spayed and microchipped. She must go to DOG LOVER home. I suffered an injury (See my bio) and can no longer care for her.
My back injury prevents me from exerting more than 20 lbs. on my spine, and she wieghs 35 lbs. She's a great loyal dog, and would do best with no young children or other dogs. If you know anyone in Atlanta that has a great backyard and is familiar with the breed, I would love to know.
She is staying at my uncle's house now, but she has to find a home soon- they are not dog people but are helping me out of the kindness of their hearts. Is there anyone that can help us?
Re: Dakota needs a home!
Have you tried asking around and sending emails to family and friends, putting it up on your Facebook page? Sometimes that is the best way to find a new home for an animal. Unfortunately, the animal rescue groups are pretty overwhelmed right now. Still, it might be worth contacting a few to see if they can help get the word out since he's got a foster for the time being.

Ditto this. Clearly you have no idea how difficult it is to rehome a dog into a good, loving home.
