My cousin has been going through a whole mess of things lately. To make a really long story short I made a deal with her and agreed to take her somewhere this coming Friday and potentialy stay over night. I need some ideas on where to go and what to do???
We will be leaving Friday aroudn 6 and need to be back by early evening on Saturday. We have never really been close so I don't know what she likes all to well
- She just turned 18.
- I asked her is she wants to go shopping, to a museam, baseball game, swimming and she just said all of that sounds fine.
- I would like to get out of the city if possible.
-Somewhere withing an hour to an hour and a half drive
- relatively cheap.
TIA

I've thought about Indy, I'm just looking for specifics on what to do there.
I should have added too that I want to make this special for her. She keeps stating she wants to just get away from all the drama that is happening in her life and I want to make this little trip memorable.
How about Columbus? You could walk/drive around campus, which is fantastic in early summer, have dinner at Buckeye Cafe. Or, go to Easton to shop. You could stay downtown. The Drury Inn is great and offers a free happy hour and breakfast. They also have free mini bar items in the room with movies. If you have time, you could stop at the outlets on the way home.
Or, you could stay at a cool hotel right in Cincinnati. Kind of a mini escape. You could walk to the Square, have dinner at Rock Bottom, get Graeters.
What about taking her camping overnight at Yellow Springs? You could hike trails - hit the little community that's up there and grab a meal or two. Visit the shops. Then have plenty of time to talk through things by the campfire.
You can't get more 'out of the city' than going camping overnight.
I wanted to say that I think its truly amazing of you to offer to do this for her. You are very sweet.
A few quick ideas:
- Monroe outlets for shopping.
- Newport on the Levee? You could go shopping, go to the aquarium, then have dinner or lunch.
I will keep thinking of some ideas for you and let you know.
