Inspired by Aria's post . . . if you could buy a car today, what would you get? I don't mean what kind of crazy car would you get if you had unlimited funds . . . I mean, what car would you honestly drive or do you think you need?
Mine is the Ford Flex. I hate the exterior, but the stupid thing is awesome. I can fit Bebe's gigantic stroller on the floor under the 3rd row of seats, even if the seats are folded down flat. Right now I drive a 4 runner and the stroller takes up the entire way-back. Plus, I love that it seats 7. We could use that for when we go out to dinner as a family . . . once Bebe was born we couldn't all fit into one car together.
Re: Your Dream Car
A Subaru Outback or Forester
The Navigator, despite it's little issue, is pretty awesome. I still can't imagine parking it - it's so big!
I'm not big into cars, except classic cars. My dream car has always been:
the '57 Chevy Bel Air
Or something out of an old gangster movie.
(the PT Cruiser has had too many issues...but I did like it when it first came out)
I would have one of these in a heart beat!! The RX 8 is so sporty looking. I. WANT!!
GMC Yukon Denali XL. Words can't describe how in love with this vehicle I am! If I could I would have sex with this truck.
That is one of DH's favorite cars. He said he wants to get the wagon version and fix it up for when we have kids. He said I'll be the coolest mom in the pick up line.
Aria. . .I'm with you on the classic car. Nothing beats them. Here is my fave though. . .
If I had to pic a modern car I would want this:
I drive the car I absolutely love and find practical. However, if I had the means, the car I'd love (and would still consider not too big of a splurge) would totally be a Mercedes like these:
I love my Scion Xb now. It's perfect for the 2 of us and traveling...it has so much space but isn't a boat. But, when the backseat has people in it, the storage space greatly reduces, so when we start having kids, it won't be so great of a car.
So, for the futrue, I'd like a Nissan Murano
I WILL get either a Toyota Prius or Honda Civic someday! Doesn't even have to be new - anything other than my current beat up 98 chevy cavalier with no AC would be heaven.
Aria - we rented a cruiser convertible in Key West and it was suuuuch a POS! Everything about it seemed cheap. It is nice to see a non-cookie cutter car on the road, but it's a shame they couldn't at least make a quality one.
Sheri - LOL!
I'd really like a Toyota Highlander, but I don't think DH would ever let me get one- he thinks SUVs are silly. So if I get a sedan again, I want a Toyota Camry with leather interior.
