Slight annoyance
So the ILs informed us yesterday that they booked a 3 week Eastern Carribbean cruise which leaves on October 20th. Now, don't get me wrong, they annoy me, and I don't want them in the delivery room or anything like that, but wouldn't you think with the birth of your first grandchild, you would want to be around? I mean, if nothing else, wouldn't you think it would be nice to ask your son if he wants you to be present or at least nearby? Unless I'm exactly 2 weeks late or over a week early, they're not gonna be here. Anyway, maybe it's not that weird, but I don't think I'd ever book a 3 week trip if my child was about to have a baby - they're retired too, so it's not like they have to go then. Anyway.... just had to vent a bit!

do you think maybe they did not really know that is when Lucie will be born? I know small stretch but some people are just scatter brained and do not think. If that is not the case then that is sorry on their part.
There is no way that my IL's would miss the birth of Emmy or Peanut #2 and they are their 10th and 11th grandchildren!

Maybe if it was a boy, your FIL would have stuck around... nutsos!
