Our tech team has launched updates to The Nest today. As a result of these updates, members of the Nest Community will need to change their password in order to continue participating in the community. In addition, The Nest community member's avatars will be replaced with generic default avatars. If you wish to revert to your original avatar, you will need to re-upload it via The Nest.

Phone calls
Even though things are sort of up in the air right now with me, we decided to tell our parents yesterday that I'm pregnant. Obviously, it was nice to tell my dad on Father's Day, and they were really happy for us. (I did tell them that things are going pretty similar to the way they went last time, so we're definitely not out of the woods.)
Yesterday was also MIL's birthday, so we thought it would be a good day to tell her...except that we couldn't get ahold of her! DH tried 4 or 5 times to call her, and she never answered her phone (neither at home nor her cell). It's a bit strange to me that she wouldn't have her phone with her (or wouldn't answer her phone) on her birthday. (Of course, there's always that slight worry that something's wrong and we wouldn't know since she lives alone.)
Anyways...no real point to this post. I just thought it was weird that we couldn't get in touch with MIL.
