Question about living in Lubbock, TX
One of my good friends is moving to Lubbock to go to Texas Tech and get her Masters in Fine Arts. She is trying to find an apt but it's hard to know what to look fo when you haven't been there before. Ideally she would like to live within walking distance of campus. Does

Woo hoo!!!!! I went to Tech! AND that's where DH just got a job, and we just moved out here!!
As far as apartments go - I'm not really much help. What's her budget? Sometimes it's better to rent a house out here too... If you want to you can give her my email address - if she wants to let me know the ones she has looked at online I can tell her if it's decent in person!

Sarah- I don't think we have ever "met" but I am in Lubbock too. I had no idea anyone on the boards lived here! What does your husband do at Tech...I am in a graduate program there now.

Aleikela - I don't think we have met before either but OMG I AM SO EXCITED! I didn't think any ND girls would be out here!!!! My husband and I both went to Tech - moved to Dallas after graduation and immediately hated it - and have been trying to get back out here since! He just started with TTU in the internal audit dept and loves it. I haven't decided what I'm going to do yet... lol... we totally should meet for coffee or something. I know NOBODY out here! What are you getting your masters in?
