Shaking fist at IRS
We filed our 2009 taxes in early February and I am still fighting with the IRS to give me half of the first time homebuyers credit. DH doesn't qualify since he previously owned a home but according to the laws I should still be able to claim "my" half of the $8k credit. I sat in the tax ladies office for 3 hours tonight on hold waiting to speak to an IRS tax law advisor. GRRRR!
My guess is that it will be another couple of months before I receive anything back. Hopefully it'll be a check!
