I'm so so sad now,

Today is a sad day for me and my family.  Our Iguana (francesca) died, wow it hurts to even say that.

I don't know how you guys feel about iguana's but she has been with us for a very long time (hence her size), and although normally iguana's don't live long I just always thought she would.  We have decided to burry her here on our property, H is out looking for something to put her in, if you have any suggestions please let me know.

To me she was the most beautiful iguana out there.  This is the picture of her from this weekends party, I edited to print it out and hang it up.  It was the best picture I had of her.  :[

  • Wow... she was a beautiful iguana. I'm really sorry for your loss. I have had the same snake (her name is Billy... when we got her, we thought she was a male so we just kept the name after we found out she was female) for TWENTY YEARS now so I understand what you mean when you say you don't think people understand how you feel right now. A lot of people have looked at me funny when my snake has gotten sick and we've taken her in to the vet and looked like hysterical dog-parents... fact of the matter is, a pet is a pet, whether it's a  cute fuzzy kitten or an adorable scaley iguana.

I bet you gave her lots of love while she was here on Earth and that she lived a very fulfilled life.

  • We definitely loved her, sometimes people would already know how much she loved us when we told them  we only had to tame her once.  She was rare to have her mood swings.  Sometimes while I cleaned the house, I would hop her on my shoulder and she would not move from there.  I miss her already, it's weird to see her tank empty.

    Thank you ladies.

  • I'm so sorry for your loss.  She was a beautiful animal.

A pet is a member of your family no matter what.  I'm so sorry for your loss.
  • Oh - I'm so sorry for you loss.  Like the other ladies said a pet is a pet no matter what kind!  I am sure the memories will last always.......
