Re: good morning!!!!
Morning. DH is not oot, and he'll likely be working on a car tonight and tomorrow, so I won't see him all that much. Hopefully he'll still come to bed at a decent hour.

How scary! Could they see you?
I'm sure they must have, because I could see them through the windows on my front door. It was VERY scary, I was totally freaked out.
That would scare me! Looks like it's time to get that gun!
THIS
I pitty the fool who decides to come a tapping on my door and windows late at night.

Ha, BF already has a plan in place. He wants me to get a shotgun, but is picking up some baseball bats tonight since I dont have any defensive weapons in the house.
P & R, That is scary! So glad you have a wonderful BF
DH starts morning watch soon (11pm - 7am) so I am getting a phone line today (my BB tends to freeze alot and I don't want to take a chance if I need it) and we are getting an alarm next weekend. We chose Alarm Force, it's free install and $25 per month. The cheaper package requires the phone line but if the line is cut they have a solar battery and a two way voice system activator thing. I've of course have guns in the house but don't know how to use them. Luckily my husband is just a 911 call away.
hah, yeaaaaaaaaaah. At least get some Protected By ____ stickers for your windows.
you should also be able to find one of these extendable batons (like the Secret Service uses) http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/ASP,_Inc.
Do you know who your cops were that showed up? (I wanna know if it was DHs friends)

No, when I saw them I ran in the my bedroom and locked the door. Sad to say, I still questioned if I was overreacting, maybe they were neighbors with a legitimate question? I stood there hesitating, until I heard them walk by my bedroom windows whispering, and they started tapping on my windows. I nearly had a heart attack at that point and went ahead and called 911.
Oh, this for sure. While at his parents this past weekend, their beagle decided he wanted to threaten me, and he snarled at me in a really scary way (I was opening the door for him to go out, I had my hand on his collar and I gently patted him on the butt a couple times to get him to go out). The dog turned on me and snarled pretty viciously. BF jumped up and ran to the kitchen to make sure I was okay, and said, totally seriously "If he had bitten you I would have killed him. End of story." The dog is really mean and will try to bite anyone, and has bitten BF before (to the point of drawing blood), for absolutely no reason. He said again later "that dog had no idea how close he came to meeting his maker. If he had hurt you it would have been over for him." Yikes!
Unfortunately, no, I didn't get their names, but they were very nice, and told me they will be patrolling my area for the rest of the night, and not to hesitate to call if I hear anything.
OMFreakinGawd. I would have died.
P & R -
I forgot to mention, the alarm system we are getting has a "panic" mode button. So if someone knocks on your door and you are scared to open it. You push the button and it automatically turns on an intercom system to where the alarm people can hear what is going on and call the police for you if you need it.
I have this too.
