So, someone at the Firm went from full time to part time. Because they lose their benefits, we give them an hourly increase. This guy got about 21% more per hour, which is pretty darn generous.
He sends an email complaining that he should be getting paid .0017 cents more an hour than we are giving him. .0017 cents - NOT 17 cents. WTF????
So 6 of us now have each spent time figuring out how he came to the conclusion that we are shorting him by $1.33 PER YEAR.
Turns out that they rounded the bi-weekly pay numbers on his change memo, instead of just quoting his new hourly rate. So we went to the memo writer asking her to process memos differently and she is complaining about it.
Clusterf*ck.
Re: this effing guy...
I'd give him the $1.33 but then dock his pay by the sum of the hourly rates of the 6 people who had to do the research for such a ridiculous claim that wasted so much time.
I TOTALLY asked if we could do this. no dice. But I REALLY wanted to.
THIS!!!
