Anyone deal with sleeping problems? I have no problems falling asleep, but I keep waking up middle of the night (typically between 3-4) and not falling back asleep? I'm starting to get beyond frustrated, which might be adding to my problem. I use to think it was work because I would always wake up thinking about it so now I keep a notepad on the nightstand so I can write stuff down. Last night, I just woke up...wide awake. I finally fell back asleep at 5, but I get up in at 5:30. I'm running on fumes.
Re: Sleeping problems
Are you taking any new meds? Over the counter or not.
The last time that happened to me, it was because I had started taking Claritin and did not realize that it was loaded with Caffeine.
I hope the problem goes away
I have dealt with that off and on. I agree with Poon - any new meds? When I take Percocet I can not sleep. Thankfully I dont need to take those too often.
For awhile there I couldnt fall asleep and would be up all night. I had no reasons other than I just couldnt sleep. I would recommend either OTC sleep meds or call your doctor for some prescribed ones. Take them a couple nights to help get back in the habit of falling asleep, then get off of them as they can be addicitve. I LOVE Ambien which is what is prescribed to me.
I totally suggest trying some meds to help you sleep. I dont take mine that often - maybe every couple of weeks or so. Try them so you can get a good nights sleep!
I'd suggest trying Valerian Root. It's an herbal supplement that promotes relaxation. I have the same problem as you. I never have trouble falling asleep, but staying asleep is a whole different story. I take it when I've had trouble sleeping for a few days. The great thing is I never have that groggy or drugged feeling when I wake up.
They sell it in the vitamin/herbal supplement aisle at most pharmacies or grocery stores. I'll warn you that it smells pretty bad, but it works like a charm for me.
oo i might try this! I have the same problem. I used to take Lunesta but I hate taking drugs - makes me nervous.
