T&P for my Dad please
As many of you know my Dad has to go for heart surgery (I mentioned it months ago when we found out he needed to have a valve replaced). Well, the time has come for the surgery. It's scheduled for Monday morning. I'm really scared (open heart surgery is such a scary term), but also relieved in a way and have that "finally" feeling because I feel like ever since he found out about it it's been a ticking time bomb. His overall health has gone downhill over the past 6 months or so due to this problem, so he's ready to get some energy back and feel healthy again. As always, any T&P you can spare are greatly appreciated.

Keeping you in my thoughts and prayers! My mom also had a valve replacement surgery about 6 years ago so I know what you're going through. It's always scary thinking about your parents needing major surgery....I am a big baby when it comes to my parents and I'm always worrying about them.....we are VERY close.
Hopefully everything goes smoothly and your dad will be good as new soon!

Patty - I'm glad to hear your Mom had a good experience with her procedure! I'm really close with my parents too (an only child) and it's hard to see that they're not invincible.
