I think Matt-ah-vell-oh. But I can't sound things out to save my life (apparently it has something to do with the way I taught myself how to read). It's the last name of the person I'm interviewing with tomorrow.

OMG-I can see it now... She's interviewing and says "Hello, Mr. Matzo Balls!"... (I hope not, but that made me laugh!)

I agree - there are too many options, depending on the accent/origin. Is it possible to sneak call the office and ask someone without revealing who you are?
This is what I wa thinking. I like Jenny's suggestion to try to find out in advance.
