This board has been deader than dead

Is anyone here?  What is everyone up to today?

Re: This board has been deader than dead

  • Here

Supposed to pick strawberries with MIL this morning, but the storm would say otherwise. Maybe we'll hit the mall later.

Right now he's watching Disney while I am "getting ready." Uh, yeah. Oops.

  • You are telling me - this place needs to liven up.

Working today - blah. I feel like I want to go back to bed, Plus side is that we are dropping off MIke's van tonight to get fixed and are going to Golden Corral - ymmm!

  • I agree, it's been super slow. It's not helping my procrastination at all.

I'm here, currently watching the WC. Should be doing work, but, we all know how that goes...

  • Suze, how was your interview? You had one this week, right?
    image
  • K, I did have one on Monday.  I think it went well, but it will be a week or two before I know if I'm getting called back.  **Fingers crossed**
  • I think we need a GTG soon. I am going to hang out with JCMCNAMARA on the 3rd - I can't wait. Will be fun.

  • I've been super busy packing up a whole entire house with a toddler and a husband who is studying for big certification tests...i'm going crazy here.

  • Keep us posted SUZE!  Hopefully it works out!

I am at work - it's slow now but I have some training in the afternoon.

Yesterday was a lovely night but man was I pooped.  I'm supposed to have softball tonight but I kind of hope it gets rained out because I just feel like going home and relaxing.

  • I'm here.  The board has been super dead.

I'm really hoping the rain stops because I really want to play softball.

I'm working today, it's been busy.  My boss is out of town so I'm on my own until Friday afternoon.

I'm looking forward to going home after work and just hanging out.

Brownsburg is really nice.  We looked at some property there when we were trying to move to Indy.

  • We put the kids to bed by 8:15; I sent one email out and was up in bed by 8:30 last night. I think Brian and I fell asleep before 9 pm. It was great. I think we need one more night of that. Both he and I are still not feeling all that great.

  • I think I may FINALLY have Brian convinced that Amelia's bedtime routine doesn't have to be an hour long process. She used to go down great  without any issue. I would lay her down and she would say "Night" and be content. Some nights if we could tell she didn't want to lay down right away, we gave her a quiet toy to play with.

Then she starting fussing a bit. Of course Brian couldn't have that happened so he would go in her room right away and try to get her to calm down and each night it started to get progessively worse until it was 9 pm before she would go to sleep.

On Monday night, I had her in bed all quiet, but he just had to go in to give her one more bedtime kiss and then of course she didn't want him to leave. Finally I shipped him outside to mow the lawn so I could handle it. She cried for 10 minutes and conked out.

Yesterday he was in the house and I could tell he was starting to get annoyed with the situation about after 10 minutes, so I went in and rocked her for a few minutes. I put her back to bed and she cried, but I walked out. Two minutes later, we heard nothing.

It's always the dads that have trouble with the simple process :o)

I love it -- feels more like a small town that just a suburb.  Everyone at H's work always gives him grief for living "so far away" but it only takes him 30 minutes to get to work when the guys who are razzin' him take 45-60 to get to work.

  • Hi!

Work has been quite busy for me lately, so I've had less internet time.  In the internet time that I do have, I've been researching vacation destinations.  Cabo, anyone?  Stick out tongue

  • I so need a vacation. I haven't had one since I think our honeymoon which was in 2008.

Where are in Mexico are you thinking?  Any particular resort you have in mind?  I still can't decide.  I'm looking at an adults only resort, and one that can have kids.  The adults only is a tad more expensive, but I wonder if we go in September if kids will matter as most of them will probably be in school.

Somewhere in Cancun so we can party.  Stick out tongue  I just need a clean place to sleep, a pretty beach, and unlimited drinks.

We just decided last night to go.  Haven't even looked into it.
