Lil vent: ranch and spaghetti is ok, but carrots get a "yuck" face??
So, there's a CW who is anti-veggies. She, I guess, is trying to watch what she eats to lose weight. But she puts ranch on everything (she said including spaghetti, I hope she was joking). I generally eat healthier than most people. I was munching on carrots yesterday afternoon and she was like "gross, that's making me sick. Why you eat that crap?" So I reacted disgusted in a joking way to her spaghetti and ranch today, and she comes back "what, your carrots are better?" I said "excuse me for eating something that gives me nutrients" she said "oh I get what I need from ranch" I replied "you don't get anything from ranch that's nutritious".
Now when I talk with my CWs, I'm joking, playing with them like they do me and eachother. But I know that this CW started talking crap once I turned my back because I glanced back and it was silent and she was making a face. I came back 15 seconds later to refill my water bottle and it went silent again when I walked back in. My department is a bunch of high school drama queens that are too old to be doing what they do. It's a big issue for the team and affects work, it's ridiculous.
Ugh, I graduated and left high school for a reason! I don't want to be pulled back in! I also won't kiss your butt because you think you're the queen!

My sister eats ranch on everything- bet if she thought about it, she would put it on spaghetti. Blech! I would rather eat carrots than spaghetti with ranch dressing.

I know people who put ranch on speghetti. I thought it was nasty too.
I had myself some carrots today. Ignore those cranky people! Keep up with your carrots!
i think it is so ridiculous that people need to comment on what or how other's do things. so you eat carrots, who cares?
for instance, i've had a total stranger come up to me when i was feeding Josie a bottle and tell me that it is more beneficial to breastfeed than formula feed. i don't even get into the fact that it is pumped breastmilk, i just smile and say "thanks!"

Perhaps she's harping on you because she has inward guilt over the crap she eats. She's just a biotch who needs to mind her business.
Maybe I'm evil and admittedly this might be overkill, but the next time someone tries to tell you it's better to breastfeed, tell them you had breast cancer that metastasized and you had to have both breasts removed, reconstructed and it's a miracle you're even alive let alone have a baby. That ought to shut them up real quick and perhaps they'll learn that you shouldn't impose your opinions on others when you don't know the whole story. Argh.. those kinds of people make me angry.
Honestly, if I saw someone using a bottle I wouldn't automatically assume it's formula, but maybe that's because I'm aware of how many women actually pump.
