got a promotion today to supervisor
i'm excited about the official leadership role b/c i've been 'supervising' for the last six months anyways. and the hard work is paying off.
following last week's drama with coworkes, the timing is a little bitter sweet. i know leading a group of 4 other women will have its ups and downs. but i will try my best through whatever my arise. i hope the others will be supportive, especially following recent catyness (sp?)
i'm open to any advise that has to deal with women, work & keeping the drama to a minimum ...LOL!
Re: yay!
That is so awesome - congrats!
I am a supervisor, and here are a few of my suggestions:
-Remember how you like to be treated & be as open, honest, and helpful as you can.
-Realize that since you are their supervisor, you may need to skip out on things sometimes - although a drink after work can be nice, it can also change the supervisor/employee status/level
ITA. Having been a supervisor and working closely with others who are, things can go downhill pretty quickly in the respect department when you start getting to close outside of work.
But congrats! It sounds like you really deserve it and I'm sure you'll do a great job!
Congrats, Katie!
Ditto what others have said.
Congratulations!
I don't have much advice (as we just hired my first employee about a month ago), but I'm sure you'll do great!
