My work just sent out an e-mail detailing a new storm warning. They sent the same thing out on Friday. I don't know if they are sending this because of what happened last Friday or if it's expected to be the same.
From the National Weather Service:
Strong thunderstorms are expected to arrive in the city between 4:00 and 7:00 pm. The storms have the possibility of damaging winds and large hail. Depending on how the storms develop, winds could reach 70 mph. Please be cautious on your commute home this evening.

Re: Chicago Girls- Storm Warning
Oh, thank you! I had no idea.
Be safe!
if you look at the radar, there is barely anything out there now but I guess they are supposed to blow up or something.
Of course we put our patio umbrella back up, hopefully the wind doesn't knock the table over with it. It's a new glass table and picking potential broken glass up in the backyard doesn't sound too fun to me.
You be safe too
I have a feeling they're warning people because lots of people were unprepared for the storm we had on Friday.
Tom Skilling puts information on this website: chicagoweathercenter.com and it's a pretty good website to track what's coming. Check the blog for storm warning updates...
Everyone be safe!
