I love this show, though it's a little bit of torture too. Seeing all that yummy food and not being able to eat it is a little sadistic!
Angelo seems totally slimy. Not a fan.

Oh I love Top Chef! I didn't watch last night's yet though. Angelo is the guy who won the quickfire and the regular challenge in the first episode, right? I didn't like him either but it looks like we are going to be stuck with him for a long time.
Can you believe Padma just had a baby before this season started filming? She looks amazing.
Yep, Angelo is the one who's been winning everything. I mean, I get that it's a competition, but I don't think that gives you a license to be nasty or play dirty (you'll see what I mean when you watch the episode). Win on your talents, not on gaming the system.
And I agree, Padma looks awesome. I'll admit that another guilty pleasure is The Real Housewives and Bethanny (sp?) also looks ridiculously good right after giving birth!
I love that show!! I know what you mean about the food. I wanted one of those sandwiches! I agree about Angelo. He's good but I hope he gets played at some point and learns his lesson. I like Kenny. I hope he does well.
I thought the apron thing was so creative.
I agree that Angelo is pretty sketchy. I'm not a fan of his "I'm better, cooler, more traveled, more everything than anyone else is" type attitude. I don't get what his issue is with Kenny. I only saw part of the 1st episode .. did I miss something? I kinda like Kenny.
I hope I look as good as Padma so soon after having a baby .... my goodness!
Um, yeah. I watched last night and I totally get what you are saying. He seemed to not care if they lost because he knew it would send one of his toughest competitors home. When he first picked that team, I thought he did it because it would guarantee that they would put together great food and win for sure! What a disaster.
All you missed was the fact that Kenny was beating the pants off everyone in the multi-round quickfire challenge (the one where they have to prep multiple items, people are eliminated in each round, and then the finalists make a dish out of the items at the end). Kenny won every one by a landslide except for the final cooking challenge, which Angelo won (and won $20K! for it).
Angelo just doesn't like Kenny because he sees him as the biggest threat.
I watch all the Real Housewives seasons and they get crazier each year. I really like Betheny's new show as well. She looks amazing!
