I'm bookgirl810s on Ravelry if you wanna be friends.
I don't have a ton of stuff up there yet, but I should be finishing the baby blanket for my cousin's shower in the next day or two. There will be more pics up then. I'm going to try a beret next.
Re: Any knitters/crocheters?
My grandmother taught me to crochet when I was real little... but I don't really remember how!
I did tell DH though about 6 months ago that I would REALLY like to learn how to knit! I think it would be fun!
You've heard what I've done, not what I've been through.
If you were in my shoes, you'd fall the first step."
Just do it! Haha. I crocheted for years, but my right wrist got so bad that I had to stop. So I am a former intermediate-to-advanced crocheter turned beginning knitter (the motion is kinder to my arms).
I recommend starting out with crochet. It's easier to keep track of what you're doing! Crochet is like building with Legos; knitting is... well, something else. More like weaving or something. When I crocheted, I only had to keep track of one loop at a time. With this baby blanket, I have 180 loops to keep track of and not drop...
Working with yarn in this heat and humidity is no fun, but that baby shower is Sunday and I slacked this spring, so I have no choice.
This made me laugh out loud. And it sounds much like something I'd do
I started teaching myself how to knit last winter. Now that the wedding is over I hope to be able to do more. I started a dog coat last winter, with any luck I'll have it finished by this winter, LOL!
