indianapolis
I'm going to Indy next week and am trying to figure out what to do with some of my free time.
The time I need to fill:
- Wednesday after 7pm
- Thursday after 5pm
- Saturday 1-7pm
For Saturday afternoon, I am thinking of going to the Zoo. Any opinions on the zoo or other suggestions? Any suggestions on restaurants or bars for Wed/Thur?
We will be right downtown and I'd prefer to not drive.

We went to the zoo, just me and DH, a few years ago. I don't remember much about it.
We also went to the NCAA half of fame and...something else. Had dinner at Ruth's Chris for our anniversary. I think we went to a mall, but don't remember much else.

I highly recommend going to the Zoo. The new Cheetah exhibit just recently opened.
Tastings at the Conrad is fun it is a wine bar with small plates.

I'm pretty open to all types of food. Because DH won't be with me I like to go to non-American, non-chain restaurants. So seafood, sushi, tapas...I do love italian and mexican.

This doesn't really help you because it's not downtown, but my BIL works at a sushi restaurant in Carmel. It is a chain, though.
