HH is hilarious

Ok, so I was driving home from work yesterday and I pulled onto my street and see a group of about 4 or 5 17-18 year old guys walking down the road.  I get past them and look in my rearview mirror and one of them is making an obscene humping gesture towards me.  I was just like "wow, that's mature", but didn't really think too much about it.  I pulled up at my house and mentioned it to Adam and then I started looking at the DVD of wedding pics our photographer gave us (the ones that he didn't put on his website).

Adam said something about going to put gas in his truck or something and he comes back a little bit later.  He went down there and yelled at the kid (he's 17) and made him walk all the way down to our house to apologize to me.  I was CRACKING UP!!!  He was all embarrassed and said something along the lines of "I'm sorry that I disrespected you and I was just messing around."  Adam was like, "No, you just didn't think she'd see you in the rearview mirror".  The guy got all red-faced and was like "Um, yeah".

Awww, HH the hero, defending my honor!!!  And who said that chivalry is dead!!!

  • HAHA! thats so sweet! I though my HH was going to punch an insurance salesman that came to our house the other night. I had went to the bathroom, but could hear everything that HH and the guy were saying. Well the salesman says "if you die, your going to leave your wife with all of your bills, car payments, mortgage, etc. think about how long its going to take her to find a sugar daddy to pay all her bills"! My mouth dropped open! I couldn't believe he said that! HH wanted to punch him but didnt thankfully. The salesman left our house soon after...

Wow, I'm sure that's a REALLY effective sales pitch (rolls eyes).... what an idiot.

  • I'm sure it is to lol. After his sugar daddy line and HH telling him we weren't interested he got really cocky and started going on and on about how much he had sold that day and how much money he was making. I don't believe he sold anything with that kind of attitude.

I love that your HH went down the street and yelled at them though! Teenagers these days need to learn respect.

  • Awww I love this.  I wish I could say I could see HH doing the same thing, but although he is extremely romantic and chivalrous, he is SO non-confrontational.  I'm sure he'd defend me if someone was threatening violence, but there's no way he'd approach someone if there wasn't an immediate threat.  I'm the one who is way more likely to instigate a fight with strangers, haha!!

  • hahaha that is hilarious.

side note: my reason for opening this post was that i always read "HH" as happy hour and was expecting a story about drunk antics.

  • HA.... well, I WAS drinking a beer when the kid finally showed up at the door to apologize, so that kinda counts!!!

  • oh god last night I was a bit drunk and our neighbor came over asking if I wanted to be on the HOA board and help out with some stuff! I'm all trying to act normal and like a grown up (which I so am not hahaha) and I was just thinking MAN I probably look so dumb...why do people come to my door when I'm drinking!?!?

That's why I usually don't answer the door if I'm drunk unless I know who it is!!!!  Adam and I were drinking one afternoon on the weekend and these church people pulled up in our driveway.  I made Adam answer the door.  There was no way in hell I'd be able to listen to someone inviting me to go to their church while I'm sitting there hammered.

  • Awesome Stu!

HH's most chivalrous day was when we were walking downtown one evening.  We had to walk by some questionable characters and HH said that if any of them touched me, he'd chase them down the street and "shank" them.  Which is funny because he's a computer nerd and doesn't talk like that.  Although I am positive if he was angry he could take anyone down.

  • See, Adam grew up as your typical country farmboy, so growing up for him, you fought things out.  Since he's met me, I've gotten most of that out of him, but he still won't think twice about confronting someone if he feels they have done wrong... Two things you don't talk bad about to him:  his mama, or me.  I'm actually surprised that Adam took the situation so well.  Like I've said before, Adam isn't a huge guy, but he's strong as an ox and intimidating as hell... no wonder that kid showed up at the door looking so scared!

  • That's hilarious.  I can only imagine that kid's reaction when he first confronted him.  LOL!

Matt would totally have done what Adam did. :) Well, maybe not to the extent of going out to track the kid down, but if he saw some teenage punk do something like that to me, he would have ground the kid into the dirt. He spent a couple of years professionally restraining teenage boys when they'd attack each other or staff members. His main regret after he was promoted to counselor was that he no longer gets to rough the guys up when they need it! Haha. Every once in a while a client will completely lose his mind and go after somebody in a group therapy session or something and Matt gets to put him into a restraint. He always comes home happy on those days! LOL

  • That is so funny! You made my day :)
