A "friend" posted that as a status update on FB. It took me a while to figure this one out honestly. Thought I'd share for any fellow puzzle solvers.

  • "Not in the mood for it tonight"

    Yes? I think? Maybe? WTF?

  • That's the answer I got too, so I'll go with yes.

  • Oh, good job SBS!  I saw this post and thought "sweet!"  I was thinking it was your friend who posted that other puzzle a while ago.  Is it?
  • I interpret it as not in the mood for it tonight, as well.  I like these. This is fun.

Wow. This is fun and truly entertaining. It would be nice if your friend was more consistent with the word 'finna or fnna'. The missing 'i' in the first puzzle threw me off! Wink

  • I can't figure out what "n8as" means in #3

  • I can't figure that one out either SBS. I'm thinking it just means "too drunk to type" or something similar.

  • Ok, this is a legit question, but does this "friend" speak in Ebonics in every day life? Usually internet-ese and text speak don't sound this much like Ebonics.

  • Story behind this "friend" is as follows:

I've known this person since 5th grade, we were in the same class. We went to the same schools through 12th grade, graduated the same year. She grew up in a very strict Pentecostal Christian home, and I believe her father was/is a minister. She became more and more rebellious through high school. After graduation she went on to a private HBCU. That's where she came out as a lesbian and took on a VERY masculine appearance and now portrays a "thug" lifestyle on FB. Hence the txt/ebonics style posts.

I know for a fact she's not an unintelligent individual and is quite capable of writing normally - which is why I don't feel bad about laughing at the ridiculous "txt" style grammar.
