LR decor update PIP
I decided to revamp the LR decor again by bringing in the DR feel of gray/black/yellow.
- the white scrolly frames will be positioned differently (just threw them up on existing nails to see what it may look like)
- I got the flower metal mirror, but instead of over the mantle it's hanging on the wall by the smaller window (above the old end table)
- still haven't decided on what to do for above the mantle
- will eventually replace TV and TV armoire with black stand and flatscreen
- may paint old end table black
- still need window treatments
- also need accent rug for foyer

I really like that wall color. It's coming together so well!
Ha, yeah - still a work in progress but it's heading in a good direction I think. Similar to the geometric you mean? I haven't really seen anything like that around. I had my eye on this gray/beige geometric square rug, but thought the LR would be all crazy squares and didn't buy it. :-/
Cannot WAIT for the new tv stand... because it means I'll have a big shiny flatscreen!

steph - luckily for us, we haven't had to paint one room (I'd love to paint the guest bedroom), but still.
Also - just found out the woman in the V-J Day kiss in Times Square photo (which I have over my mantle right now) died at 91.

I like everything but that little white shelf. But we've talked about that
Though it does look nicer than it did in the photo with the sellers stuff -- not as small/out of place on the wall. But I still don't like it. :P
I really like the colors you're using. They've got this nice dual warm/cool feeling. The room feels very inviting.
SBS, the white shelf thing doesn't bug me. It provides a nice place to hold up that B letter and probably a little bud vase/flower someday. Plus DH drops his keys there. If it wasn't there, I'd do a console table.
You're right on about the warm/cool mix. It's weird, but I like it.
Send tax credit dust so I can buy my TV. I'm trying to be strong.
