I'm new to the nest. I'm moving to Guilderland and getting married in August. I thought it would be interesting to see who is on here. I live in Boston now and am excited about moving, while also looking ahead and trying to find out what there is to do in the Albany area that I might not know about -farmer's markets, museums, activities, etc.. (I grew up in Rotterdam, but left after highschool.)
Re: Hello?
I don't live in the ALbany area, but what part of boston are you from? that's where i grew up.
Another non Albany, but welcome to the board!
My sister does live in Albany and I know the annual tulip festival in (may?) is not to be missed.
There's also the NYS state museum. Never been there though.
Saratoga Springs is like a 30-45 minute drive and is pretty popular in the summer - horse racing, cute shops, etc...
Welcome! Yay, I live in Guilderland too!
Most of what I do usually is kid-friendly since I have two little ones, but there are lots of great stuff to do especially in the summer (like farmers markets, berry picking, hiking, etc), and I can recommend other stuff to you that is in Guilderland (like restaurants).
When are you moving here?
