What size bed do you have?
We have a queen. DH wants a king. The room is big enough for a king, I just don't know, our bed seems fine to me and is only 4 years old. I have taken a look at the cost of a new kingh size bed and I am shocked! lol
What size bed do you have?
Is it the right size?
What did you pay (if you have a king)?
Re: What size bed do you have?
Queen. I wish we had a King, I like my space but DH is a cuddler so he was fine with a Queen until we started cosleeping...haha and he'd probably tell you we started cosleeping through pregnancy as baby took up the room then when I slept on my side but even more so now, I tell him to move over.
I say go for the King!
What size bed do you have? Queen
Is it thr gith size? I have no idea, I went to a store to buy a bed and just bought the matress on display with it.
What did you pay (if you have a king)? N/A (but I payed about $1,500 for bed and matress, but it was a 50% off sale)
Aside - we could fit a king in our room, but we don't want one. DH has actually figured out that, I snore more in a king size bed... because there's more room for me to roll on to my back, vs in a queen bed i'm up against the edge and can't roll. (DH dreds vacation because he doesn't get any sleep due to my snoring!)
I hadn't even considered this. Maybe I need to sit down and figure out what it would all cost, then show it DH! lol
We have a double (DH's bed when we met) and it's fine for us. We pretty much manage to stay on our own sides of the bed except for some occasional spooning.
That said, we will probably upgrade to a queen the next time we buy a mattress... whenever that might be. We certainly don't feel the need for a king.
King and I love it. DH wanted it, I thought it was an unneccessary expense and now I wouldn't have anything else. Our original queen bed was pretty old though, not sure I would have jumped at it if it had been 5 years old.
The frame was $400 at IKEA. The mattress was over $1000, bought on sale at sleep country. Honestly, I'd probably just buy the mattress from IKEA next time though. My parents did that and their bed is as comfortable in my opinion.
Sheets aren't that bad, if you think you're going to get one just watch for sales at Sears, the Bay and Home Outfitters. I've never paid over $150 for a full sheet set, bamboo or 400+ thread count. Around Christmas / Boxing Week is the best time to get deals on the sheets.
Happy Easter

Queen. But we need a new mattress so we may upgrade to king.
